Visiting Sarrah's for Trini food is always a highlight of my trips to New Jersey. I look forward all year to enjoying the curry chicken and buss up shut roti, and this time, I also tried the pumpkin dish--it was delicious! I even gave doubles another chance after not liking them years ago, and now I'm officially a fan, just like everyone else. Sarah and her husband are always so welcoming and helpful, often offering complimentary items and drinks. Every time I visit, the atmosphere is so friendly that I end up chatting with the other customers, whether we're waiting in line or enjoying our meals. It's such a warm and welcoming experience!
The doubles were amazing! I am half-Indian, first time trying Trini food and I loved the syncretic cuisine. The Channa masala, daal lentils are all perfectly cooked and spiced. Lovely service with a smile and love, and the cute, quaint seating area was lively and well adorned. Go early if you want the full menu, I came close to closing and they were out of the Curry Goat I wanted to try, but the Curry chicken was good too. I will definitely come back for the doubles!
As a Trini-Brooklyn transplant now living in Newark / Jacksonville, FL, finding good Trini food this side of the Hudson has been a challenge. But thanks to my Doctor's recommendation, I discovered this standout spots in Orange, and boy they did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warmest "Good morning" Sarah made it feel like being back in Trinidad and the enticing aroma of freshly cooked food. The dishes are amazing I have order some Curry Chicken and Rice meals, but normal my go to are there Double weather its sweet or spicy. I drove 40 minutes to try this place and I was not disappointed. T customer service was great. Sarrah is so friendly and genuine. I got doubles and a goat roti and both were delicious. I will definitely try them again.

The food is excellent. Excellent service and very clean. I usually go for breakfast, I get salt fish and bakes.
Sarrah's food tastes so good and the atmosphere in her shop is warm and welcoming. You can tell she has a great rapport with her customers by how they interact. I ordered the cassava pone, doubles, bakes and smoked herring & a side of sweet plantains. EVERYTHING tasted great & authentic! The flavors were on point. I'll definitely return
